Dual desktops! Need reload - help

[urgh]

Im running XP home. Seems the serial number for the system
is aligned with one folder - and there is another user
(which was created out of box) that is conflicting and
slowing performance. Is my best bet to reload everything?
The sys is all backed up, is there a good resource?

do I have to reload?

You seem to think you've got something figured out here, but what you've
said makes very little sense. What serial number is aligned with what
folder, and what do you mean by "aligned"? Do you mean assigned, like
there's a password?

And how can a user be conflicting? With what? Having multiple users
shouldn't slow anything down, so how have you come to the conclusion that a
user account is causing a problem? Or are you actually talking about a
person who is using the computer, and they've caused some damage?

Is there a good resource for what?

Unless you clarify this a bit, I doubt you're going to get much of a
response.
