Hi
I have a dell computer that is a dual core processor but only one processor
shows in the task manager. I think the computer was built using an image
from a single core computer and this could be the cause. Is there anyway to
get the computer to use both cores?
Thanks.

Hi it is showing 2 processors in the device manager but just one in the task
manager.

With Task Manager open to display the Performance page, click on the View
menu at the top of the window. Under CPU History make sure One Graph Per CPU
is selected.

If that's not the problem, contact Dell or the person who installed XP on
the computer.

Good luck

I had no idea that feature was there. I have an Intel Core 2 Quad cpu and
figured Task Manager's default was a graph of the four cpu's.
