Dual-booting with XP Home and Vista RC1

I have 1 harddrive, 230GB, and have XP home on it right now. I want to resize
this partition, to say, 190GB, create a new partition with this free space,
and have Vista RC1 on the other 40GB partition. How can I do this? I know
there's Partition Magic out there, but I was wondering if there is anything
free.
