When I start Windows XP, I now see that I have to make a choice of one of
two operating systems.
How can I remove one of them (the smaller one) so that my computer will have
only one as it did before.
Thanks, Raymond

You can use msconfig.exe (System Configuration Utility) and in the BOOT.INI
tab you can "Check All Boot Paths".
If there is a copy of windows that you no longer want to be availabe to boot
into, you can just delete the folder that it is contained in. You can also
delete the "Program Files" folder associated with that Windows installation,
if you are sure you don't need it and it is a separate folder on a separate
partition or hard drive from the "Program Files" folder that you are
actually using in the Windows you want to keep and boot into.

You can also go to Startup and Recovery in your System Properties (System
located in Control Panel) and change settings there. You will find it on the
Advanced tab section.

What did you do that created this situation? It will help to tell you how to
fix it.
See the below for some fixes for different configurations.

It's a wise man who knows his limitations. We all have our areas of
expertise. Take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not
your local version of BigStoreUSA) and have them put it right for you.

Try the following,

Right click My Computer, select properties,
Click the Advanced tab,
Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings button,
Click Edit button,
Under operating systems, delete the second line
