I have just obtained a new XP machine into which I have installed my hard
drive from my old 98 unit as a slave.

Is it possible to either;

a) import all my programmes from the win98 os into xp?

or

b) create a dual boot system without having to reformat everything as this
would defeat the object.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice

Yes, you can configure the Boot.ini to accept Win98 in a dual boot. But,
you have to do it thru the Recovery Console.
Check here.

interested in Bootcfg.

Hi there,

Followed the instructions, got to the bootcfg command but no matter what I
do I can't get it to detect the win98 os on the d: drive. I tried manually
altering the boot.ini in system also but it wouldn't have it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Alun
