Anyone ever tried to do this?

At the moment, we use one laptop running windows 2000 svr as a ghost
server to rebuild our windows machines, and also a different laptop
runining solaris which acts as a jumpstart server to rebuild our unix
machines.

Planning to amalgamate these into a single dual boot laptop. Any
ideas / pointers / links?

IIRC the procedure I followed for XP was to defrag the filesystem and
disable the pagefile.
Then I booted Knoppix LiveCD and used QTParted to resize the NTFS
partition.

From here, you should be able to boot the OpenSolaris LiveCD and
install with the free disk space.

Happy hacking,

Load your OS of choice on the laptop. Install VirtualBox and run the
install servers as VMs.
