I'm trying to set up a dual boot situation on a single
hard disk with two partitions such that each installation
is "unaware" of the other (i.e. independent registries,
and hard disk storage space). I've done two installs of
2K, each to a different partition. There is a boot menu
that allows me to choose between the two installs, but
this is not giving me what I want (other than maybe
independent registries); each install has the same C-disk

make a file on c: of one installation and then boot to the
other and see if that file is there. Also look at the
hidden c:boot.ini and see if you have two lines of
"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT" and where it
says partition there is multiple entries, refective of 2
partitions.
