I bought a PC with Vista Home Premium 32-bit (portugese) pre-installed.
As an immigrant I am not yet familiar with the language. I feel much
more comfortable with english. Now I have the DVDs av Vista Ultimate 32-
and 64 bit in english. I hesitate to format C:, as HP has infiltrated my
Vista so I can access an extra multimedia-drive.
So, can I make a dual-boot between Vista Home Premium portugese 32-bit
and Vista Ultimate 64-bit English?
Also, is there any point in going for the 64-bit Vista. Does it mean
Windows can use more RAM?

You can access 'extra multimedia drives' in English too, ya know..

Save your important stuff and reformat, and for the sake of compatibility,
stick with the 32bit version unless you need to run mission critical 64bit
applications..

Yes, I just have to sort out what to save to the external disk.
The reason I considered the 64-bit was the option of more RAM. I might
have this PC with Vista for several years, and as before the need for
memory will increase every year.
