Hiya, i wont keep ya long i promise!

I want to dual boot XP pro and 98se on 2 hard drives. currently got 1
hard drive as XP on NTFS. now i realise ya cant have drive c as NTFS
if i want to do this. SO. Can i simply change that drive to slave, get
another drive and install win98 on that and make that master? sounds
okay to me, tho i havent tried it yet. in theory couldnt i
run.....fixboot.exe i think i read and tell it to dual boot.

Or am i wrong and probably need to do a fresh install of 98se on the
master, a fresh xp install on the slave where it'll automatically
detect the other system and allow me to dual boot at my pleasure? coz
im hoping theres a quicker way! haha :p

Thanks a lot for any advice,
Ian.

Yeah, you should be ok with that. So long as the boot.ini file points to XP on the secondary disk, then XP should mind which disk it's on - whether it's primary or secondary, and Win98 won't mind either cos it won't notice it's XP, as it's ntfs
