I have Win98SE now on orig HD and going to install 2nd HD
and put Win200Pro on it. How can I can set up dual-boot
to either system on startup?

Thanks for help!

Install the new drive (drive 1) as slave. then either boot the Windows 2000
install CD-Rom or setup disks. The set of four install disks can be created
from your Windows 2000 CD-Rom; change to the \bootdisk directory on the
CD-Rom and execute makeboot.exe (from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and
follow the prompts choosing to install to the unallocated space on drive 1

Thank you, Dave. After I do this, I want the Win2k drive
to be my primary drive once I install programs and move
files over. Do I need to change the jumper on the new
drive to master or is that not needed?

Will I get a prompt at startup asking which OS I want to
boot?

TIA,

Dave

If you want the new drive as master then you'll need to reinstall both
operating systems. You won't want to try changing the drives around after
the OS's are installed. Yes Windows 2000 will create the boot loader screen
for you. If you reinstall both OS's then install Win98 first.
