Are there any tools around similar to MSSQLs DTSWizard for importing data
into a DataTable? The DTSWizard has many nice features which I would hate to
recreate if it's already been done.

Thanks,
Joe

Have you seen the SqlClient.SqlBulkCopy class?

Hi Bill,

I think Joe need a wizard to copy data from the database to the in-memory
DataTable. As far as I know, the only way is to use the DataAdapter
configuration wizard. It is similar with a query builder. A DataAdapter
will be generated for you to fill data into a DataTable/DataSet. If you
need to use this in your app, let see if any community member can shed some
light on some 3rd party tools.

I guess I should have made myself more clear. I want a wizard similar to the
DTSWizard for my application to show to the user which will allow them to
import data into out application.

Hi Joe,

We cannot use the DTSWizard in our app to import data. I tried to search
the web to find a 3rd party component for you. However, I didn't get any
result.

It seems that there isn't a component that meets your requirement
currently. And I think it is not very hard for us to implement such a
wizard. You can create it and use the wizard to generate a DataAdapter
which fills your DataTable.

HTH.

Hi Joe,

I'd like to know if this issue has been resolved yet. Is there anything
that I can help. I'm still monitoring on it. If you have any questions,
please feel free to post them in the community.
