DSUM Syntax

Can someone check my syntax please:

textbox control source: =DSum("[Session]","Clients","[session]='AM'")

Tablename 'Clients'
Field 'Session'
Where session = "AM"

The syntax is fine, but what does the sum of "AM" look like? You can't add
words. I suspect that one of those field names was intended to be something
else.

I thought i could include criteria - in this case only count session where
they = "AM"

Think i've answered my own question here - i shouldn't be summing at all - i
should be counting :o)
