DST update on win 2000 server EASY METHOD

Use the TZEDIT tool from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/8/a/58a208b7-7dc7-4bc7-8357-28e29cdac52f/tzedit.exe

Right-click the clock on the task bar and Adjust Date/Time

On Time Zone Tab:
un-check box for adjusting dst changes
Apply
re-check box for adjusting dst changes
Apply
Ok

The clock should change net-wide.
no restart needed



This caused a lot of frustration this morning for our clients.

Mixed network of 2000 and XP here.

XP clients (that were patched with WSUS) jumped an hour ahead of
everyone else.

Then they proceded to ignore AD rules and shares. Good stuff.

This fixed worked for us too..

Unfortunately I figured it out before I read this post!!
