I'm planning to deploy using GPO as described in the KB.

Can I apply the GPO to the domain ou and have it go to all systems? What
will be the effect when it hits XP and 2003 servers? All of our 2000
machines are mixed into OUs with the others so don't know how I can
specefically target the 2000 machines.

Use security filtering on the group policy. Create a security group
and filter the policy to that group. Add the Windows 2000 machines
into it.
