Hi,
I can't think of a setting that would allow you to browse for a while then
suddenly not connect to websites.

May not help, but won't hurt... clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet
Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50-60 MB (Settings.)

You could rule out parasites, etc. Work through the solutions (CWShredder,
Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:
The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

Also, connections do just break occasionally. With DSL you should reset the
connection by shutting down the computer and the DSL modem for 3 or 4
minutes.

Hope this helps,
Don
