DSL modem on XP pro

I can't install my Conceptronics DSL usb modem on Win XP
Pro. It installs a part of it, but when installing the
Wan section, it crashes...I've got no problem installing
it on ME,XP Home. Can Anyone help please..

Seek out an XP-compatible driver from the manufacturer.
 
XP Home and XP Pro are basically the same, what are the
differences in your machines?

Look at this post in printers section that i sent because of problems
installing printer.
It could be related to a similiar problem you are having with modem
installation

Help please tried to install lexmark X73 all in one printer fax copier in
Windows XP Proffessional.Used the installation disc and also the latest
drivers posted on lexmark site.It installs the printer part of software then
when installing the scanner part ie lxscan.dll it just restarts the
machine.When i maaged to install it in safe mode and it said to restart
pc,it would not allow xp pro to start up.I know theres a problem somewhere
but what do i do to get the scanner side working.
Lexmark are useless at trying to sort it out.
