DSL & IP Addressing

I have a DSL connection on my laptop at home. I also
have a desktop computer that I would also like to connect
via DSL. Will wireless network equipment do the trick?
Also my DSL IP address is a dynamic IP address. I need
to access a website that requires a static IP address.
Is there any setting changes or equipment I can add that
will somehow trick the system into thinking that it's a
static IP rather than a dynamic IP address? I really
don't want to upgrade to business class DSL and pay over
$75/mo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Netgear wireless router/switch with my DSL modem
and this works fine for my home network using a laptop
wireless. The range is not as far as I would like but it
works well within the parameters.
Once you install this router you will have the ability to
configure it almost anyway that you would like. There is
an option for static IP addresses as well but I have never
tried it.
