There is a problem with Windows 2000 writing slowly when disk caching
is enabled. (MKB 33203). The fix for this problem seems to be in SP4.
However, as far as I can tell you are also required to run
"DskCache.exe" to configure the Power Proteced Cache option.
Unfortunately Microsoft does not provide this utility anywhere that I
can see.
I checked here:
MKB article 811392 "Obtain the Dskcache.exe Tool to Configure the
"power Proteced" write cache option.
But that just refers to a page for paid support.
Anyone know where to get dskcache.exe?
