dsget question

Hello,
I'm using the dsget command to generate a txt list of members of a certain
group. There are 29 user accounts in group, however dsget is only returning
20 of the names. Does anyone know why it's not returning all 29 names? I'm
running the query against Windows 2000 AD.

what's the complete dsget command you are using?

dsget group "cn=admins,OU=groups,dc=testdc,dc=com" -members

try adding -expand

dsget group "cn=admins,OU=groups,dc=testdc,dc=com" -members

In addition to kj's suggestion, if the user is a member of admins because their PrimaryGroupId is admins, then dsget won't retrieve it.

Ed,

Just to throw something else out there - have you considered using ldifde or
csvde to do this?
