Hello: I am trying to make a page as below:
1. when the mouse is placed on a text box, it dorps a list of items to select
2. When one of the items is selected from the list, it takes directly to a
new page of that item.

Hos can I do this? I would appreciate some help very much!

The jump menu isn't what he wants here it looks like. He wants a rollover
menu, not a dropdown, even though that's what the topic says.

You can't have a rollover effect where a text box turns into a drop down.
You're right though, the question could be a little clearer.
