Dropshadows on Desktop Icon Text

Hi
I installed Win XP on an older laptop (P233/144mb Ram) and it did not
display dropshadows on the text on the desktop... Is there anyway to bypass
this to turn them on?

This is the gaming group so I' not sure what you mean by dropshadows? Do you
mean clear type text? If so then right click on the desktop and click
properties, the ADVANCED tab and then effects and that is located here.
