dropping passwords

In my Outlook 2003 from Office Pro edition: I constantly get the email
failure pop-up and another window asking to confirm my password, despite the
fact that i've checked the box on a number of occasions to remember my
password, . this happenes no less than 30-times a day. I've even tried to
go back and reconfigure the whole thing, hit "apply" and yet it continues to
happen. how can i get this thing to remember the password without pestering
me for it all day? it worked fine since i put it in in '03!

Can you log on to webmail and check your emails ?Also when the password
prompt window appears is the password avaliable in the form of *** or is it
blank?If you set up the same account in Outlook Express does the same issue
occurs ?You may also want to call the service provider for the email account
and reset the password(coz this normally happens in case you enter the wrong
password).Hope this helps

Btw this is a Bcm news group you could try posting your queries to Outlook

Have you recently added or deleted any applications to your PC? I once had
this password problem as you have described and learned upon contact with
Microsoft tech support that I had a corrupted registry key. They talked me
through a number of corrective steps (too numerous to recall) deep within the
registry to reset something and this corrected the problem.

It would be a corruption in the registry if in case the password prompt
window is blank.Thats when it really helps

It can be a registry corruption provided the password window the password is
blank,that when resetting the registry key normally helps
 
Steve, i am experiencing the same thing for over a month. It is very annoying.
I suspect the problem is in OUTLOOK since I never experience this for many
years
since OUTLOOK first came out. Suspect a 2003 security update in OUTLOOK may
have been the culprit.
