Dropdown list prompt running query

I am currently using Access 2000 on a Windows 2000 system.
I am creating a query and would like users to be prompted
with a dropdown list of names to choose a paramiter for
the query. Is Access capable of doing this?

Add a combo box to a form.
As criteria in the query, write
forms!FormName!ComboName

The form must be open when the query is run.
