Dropdown list problem

I recently converted an Access db from 2000 to 2003. Now
all dropdowns no longer expand when typing. If I
recreate the dropdown, then all dropdowns function
properly for a short time. Then they stop working again.
Has anyone experienced this. I have turned off
autocorrect on all. Help

Could be this issue:
The AutoExpand Property May Not Work When ANSI-92 Syntax Is Enabled and the
Combo Box RowSource Does Not Use DISTINCT Values
