Drop out's in play back sound

Could someone help me as I have the following prob.
after creating the movies, on play back I have Sound drop outs (Blips)
these manily occur where i have a heavy transitionson on time line .
Seems to do the same with MP3 or .Wav files
Any ideas HELP

I should've said .wma files. Sorry.
