Terrie

Recently I visited a Word Worksheet that provided the
answers (there were 3 answers in the menu -1 correct and 2
incorrect) for the children in the form of a drop down
menu. How do I insert a drop down menu into Word????? The
uses in the classroom for this are endless and we are very
excited to find out how it is done

Thank you
Terrie

View: Toolbars check FORMS

a forms tool bar is now on your toolbar
decide the place in your doc you want the drop-down field
click on the drop-down field icon
a gray box appears on your doc
right click on the box - choose 'properties'
type in your first 'choice' then ADD
continue with additional 'choices' click OK

you will have to 'protect' the form to show the choices
in the drop-down field

hope this helps

Dear Terrie,

It sounds like you discovered a Word document that is set
up as a Form. With Forms, you can identify specific
fields that can be modified, while the basic text and
format of the document remains protected. These fields
include the ability to set up drop down boxes.

There should be lots of information about how to set up
and use Word Forms effectively. Try a google search or
the MVP Word FAQ section for more specific data.

Hope that helps. LisaG
