drop down menu when filling out forms

When I ran Windows 98, anytime i was filling out an
online form I would get a drop down menu of previous
entries that matched what I was typing currently. This
saved a lot of time if I could click on a "menu" item
that matched what I needed.

My current Windows XP does not seem to enable that
function. Can it be enabled? Please help.
