Drop Down Boxes Don't Show

Running XP Pro

When I open File Manager & click any word across the top
(File, Edit, View, etc) except Favorites the drop down
box opens but none of the options are visible.

Any suggestions?

Cancel question. There were several instances of the
Java virtual machine running. I deleted Check for
Cancelled Certificates in IE Properties>Advanced,
rebooted & everything's back to normal.
