Droid Enhancemnts

I'm looking for recomendations for software apps that will help my Windows
XP home edition to run better. There is obviously a lot of crap running in
the background that is limiting my droid's mulitmedia handling capabilities.
There is also some programs hanging around in there that the uninstaller
won't work on, and I don't want to give the droid an errant personality. Any
suggestions? (simple and reasonably cheap please)

Two of the best products for dealing with your droids personality
problems are both free - Spybot S&D and HijackThis. HJT gives you a
log which you need to have interpreted by experts - SWI Forums has
free and very helpful experts. Start from this article:
