We use software that links to specific printers by name so that we can have
more than one active printer on a PC.
These printers are using PCL laser Jet fonts.
In Windows 2000 and other versions of windows the directory that holds the
printer drivers is in a directory unders system32 called "printers"
In XP the name of that folder is called "Printers and Faxes"
Clearly the path names are different and it is making it so our software
does not properly change from printer to printer. All output is just going
to the default printer.
I thought maybe it would work to copy all the stuff in "printers and faxes"
and copy it to a directory called printers. However XP will not let me do
that.
How do I get around this problem. We do not have the source code, so we can
not change the name of the path in the software.
If we do have two printer driver paths, will that work OK with the printer
Queues.
