When I open a PowerPoint file I've been working on I get: Cannot activate
controls
in this presentation. They are not registered on this computer.

What controls? How do I throw them away?

Please help.

Elia

It sounds like you recieved a presentation that makes use of an ActiveX
control that you do not have installed on your system.

Okay... how do I see what ActiveX controls are present in a presentation and
toss them out?

Elia

I deleted all the slides in this presentation and left only one that
difinately has no
visible activeX. And I'm still having this problem. Something must be hugely
wrong?

If this is only happening for one presentation, you might check to see
what's on your Slide Master. Not all objects are visible, so if you press
the tab key repeatedly, each object on the slide will be selected. It could
be that something strange is lurking in the dark.
