My C: drive is locked as read only, and of course subfolders as well.

I have tried all the suggestions to take ownership of these files
individually and the drive itself. They churn away and seem to be
successful, but they still will not allow me to make changes with one
exception. I am able to add new folders. Once added I cannot rename,
delete, etc.

I need help'!

Thanks in advance,
Danno

At first look, this appears to be a very possible solution to my problem!
Thank you so much for this link. I'll let you know if it fixed the problem,
or if I'm still locked out.

Dave, (or anyone else) when I try to import the template (Defltwk.inf) I get
an error message along the lines of "Access Denied." I haven't tried the
other links you sent me, but I thought this might help pinpoint my problem.

Thanks,
Danno

You'll need to logon with an account that is a member of the local
administrators group. Failing that here's the next step.
