Are the drives seen by the BIOS? Are they present in Device Manager,
possibly with yellow exclamation marks?
I'm not familiar with the models you mention, but assuming that they're
normal internal IDE drives they almost certainly use the default Windows
drivers. Looking for other drivers will probably be a waste of time. You may
have some bad registry keys:

(In particular, trouble is likely if you do an upgrade installation onto a
system with Roxio Easy CD Creator installed. It would be safer to uninstall
it, upgrade to XP, and then re-install ECDC. This requires that ECDC be
version 5.01 or later; earlier versions are not XP compatible.)
