I know there is a better path to get to the driver downloads for my computer
than Window updates because I came across it some time back but can't seem to
find it now. The one I saw would update the drivers to all the hardware on
the computer. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The best way to update your drivers is to simply go to the website of the
specific manufacturer.

Windows update has actually been know to make things worse...as far as
driver updates

I want to help you, but I need more specific information. What is your
operating system and Version? What drivers are you looking for? Are you
looking for drivers for hardware such as printers, etc? What specific
drivers are you looking for? If say you have a Hewlett Packard printer and
you want the most updated drivers then go to their website.
Best Regards,
Kaja
