Where should one go to find out if the drivers on board are the correct and
updated drivers?
Thanks in advance!

The classic move is to visit the maker's website, with the model number
or part number of the driver needing device. With luck you can find the
driver that goes with your device, as opposed to the driver for every
device the company has ever made.
If you open Windows Device Manager, (Start -> Settings -> Control
Panel -> System -> hardware) you can see a list of all the devices on
your machine, with maker's name and model or part number. Some fishing
around will display the current driver's name rank and serial number.
The "Update Driver" button is only useful AFTER you have the new driver
in hand (or on disk). It ain't smart enough to find a new driver on the
web.
Another route is to google on the device makers name and model or
part number.
Due diligence. Check the time&date stamps on any driver fished up
from the net to make sure it is REALLY newer than the one on your
machine. Cautious hackers will copy the OLD driver to a safe place just
in case the new driver is worse than what you are running currently and
you want to go back.
Driver upgrade sometimes does miraculous good things. Other times it
breaks your computer. If everything is working well you might consider
letting sleeping dogs lie...
Windows update often does drivers too. I'd run it and see if you get
lucky before scrounging around the web for drivers. Windows update has
been good to me, it has not broken my computer.
