Just thought I'd post this for everyone:

When I first installed Vista nothing was working, no sound, no ethernet
etc.

So I tried installing them from the CD but the CD wanted me to have XP.

So I went into the device manager and uninstalled the ethernet etc.

It then found new software and I said I don't have a disk, Vista then let me
choose from a location on my PC. I chose the Drivers/ folder on the CD.

All the drivers installed perfectly and I now have sound, ethernet, USB 2.0
etc :)

Craig.

Do you mean the Drivers/ folder on the XP CD? I have a Drivers CAB "folder"
but Vista won't search that CAB file. Can you explain a bit more how you
reached your solution, because I seem to be having the same problem. Upon
installing VISTA, I lost my Ethernet Connection drivers and so cannot connect
to my network or to the internet.

Can you explain more about how you reached your solution? I Seem to be
having the same problem: I lost my ethernet connection after installing
VISTA. Do you mean that you used a Drivers/ folder on your Window XP CD?
Where is that folder? I have a Drivers CAB "file" or "folder" but when I
select that folder, VISTA won't search it.

On your driver CD that you got with your motherboard there should be a
'Drivers' folder or similar.
If you can't find the folder then try telling Vista just to search the whole
CD?
