Hello

I have recently installed Vista and am unable to use my network or access
the internet as i dont have the correct driver.

Anybody know how i can get the audio and network drivers (network being mre
important) for the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe board?

I have that same board and both drivers were in the Vista package. You
should NOT try XP drivers. Check your device manager and try reinstalling
the drivers from there. With the A8N-SLI Deluxe in my computer the system
connected to the internet and I had sound without having to do anything. Be
sure to disconnect any unneeded peripherals until you successfully
troubleshoot this.

Dave:
I'm using the A8N-E mother board and The Nforce NIC and Ralink
wireless NIC drivers loaded with Vista64. I don't know about the Gigabit
drivers. If you han 2 NIC slots on your back plate, try plugging the NIC
cable into the other slot.

Try opening Windows Update in Control Panel and seeing if there are some
recommended driver updates available.

Without a network card connected to the internet - that should be
interesting .... Unless the dial up modem is working.

And as an aside....... Just for general precautions, always keep your
current drivers on a different partition to your OS along with your data.

When I installed my Vista; I immediately allowed Vista to search over the
internet; which gave me the best updated drivers that have been working
flawlessly for all of my hardware.

I did initially try XP drivers, but that was a terrible idea on my part; and
now stick with the thought of letting vista find it's own compatible
drivers.

I re-booted Vista which sorted out the network problem (other than a
disfunctional IPv6 and and incorrect IP address for IPv4) i then downloaded
the audio codec.

Go to http://www.marvell.com/drivers/search.do
for Marvel drivers. They have bot 32-bit and
64-bit Vista Beta drivers.

Just select the OS in the bottom box of the page.

32-bit Vista at:
http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?dId=101&pId=39

64-bit Vista at:
http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?dId=154&pId=40

Something's wrong. Vista comes with BUILT-IN drivers for the Marvell
NIC on A8N boards. I'd recommend going to the NIC in Device Manager,
Updating the driver, and allowing Vista to Search for the correct one.
I believe that it will find one that works perfectly. (I'm posting
this on an A8N-SLI Premium, using the Marvell NIC with the driver that
Vista installed during 32-bit (x86) setup.)
