Basic question:
I just got my Vista DVD and it has Feb CTP "x86" on it. I have AMD
Athlon 64 bit CPU - will this sw run in 64 bit or is x86 the wrong
version for me (32 bit) ? To be sure I get the latest drivers, I went
to Nvidia site and there I see x86 and x64 versions of drivers. Which to
choose ? I thought it would be x64 , but now " I'm so confused ". Does
x86 refer to Intel/AMD , where x64 refers to Alphas/servers ?

Hi Bobb,

You will need to get the x86 drivers from nVidia's website. The AMD 64 can
run x86-x64 code, the February CTP you have is the 32-bit version of Vista
which is (x86), so it will run on your machine.

x86 - 32-bit
x64 - 64-bit

Intel also has x86-x64 processors with instructions called (EM64T) -
Extended Memory 64 Technology.
