I noticed my mobo's manufacturer has yet to have drivers available for Vista
beta 2. Is it safe to say that after installing Vista, most of my devices
will not be recognized?

I heard others say that Microsoft includes drivers if you order the DVD.

What's your mobo?
There will not be more drivers in ordered DVD than in downloaded DVD
iso. Not 100% sure, of course, but I would be very surprised

1. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer of the hardware to develop
software products (drivers) that are compatible with Microsoft's operating
systems and then to provide Microsoft with these drivers so that they can be
included in the driver library of the operating system. This proceedure has
not changed since Windows was begat. Microsoft does not write hardware
specific drivers. Contact the manufacturer of the particular piece of
hardware in question and ask them why they refuse to support you, their
valued, paying customer.

Mark I realize that you're just trying to be helpfull, but your replies to
people looking for information on drivers sometimes is just not helpful. He
asked a simple question. Not a rant as to why Vista didn't include drivers
for his Mobo.

My Mobo was covered by the Vista drivers. A Dell\Intel based system. So
some are covered. Others may not be. Your response was just too vague and
not helpful at all.

did you ever attempt to install vista, if so did you have any problems? I
have the same mobo, and I can't even get to the insall screen booting from
the dvd, and I know the dvd works, tried it on another machine as well as
through vmware
