drivers are missing/gone

My updated XP Home edition (Service Pack 1)is not able
nomore to find drivers for my new devices. Even so for
some of my old devices. The Hardware Update Wizard can't
find the list of manufacturer and model of the
corresponding hardware device nomore.

Who can help me find a solution for this problem?

EUREKA!!!!
I've found the solution myself!
And I'm glad to share it with you all.

Look into the directory c:\windows\inf and you will find
all the necessary drivers ........ at least I did!
