Win XP Pro. gig of Ram, 3ghz chip

I just got a new Gateway digital monitor, the FPD2275w. It has a
pivot feature, that so far I do not use.
I had to update the drivers for my AIW 9600 video Card, Got the
drivers et al and installed them.

I get an error message when the desktop comes up. "You dont not have
permission to change Catalyst Control Center Settings, contact your
administrator. Im the administrator.

Also the the Eztune software from Gateway pops up telling me that
since I have new drivers I have to reinstall its pivot drivers. But
once I do, the message pops up again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled all the software. So far it makes no
difference.

CCC requires .NET 2. Earlier versions of CCC gave me the permissions error
in spite of having .NET but it went away in newer versions. It was a
verified problem on the ati support site. Try searching for it.

Thanks I have NET2.
ATI site also has a possible work around, delete the Repository
folder in Windows/32/ but it won't delete because another program is
using it, but doesn't say what program.

I will check those out
This morning I got a new error message. Something about the driver
dosent match the Catalyst Control Center and I should enable the
graphics adapter.

Normally I'd say do a cleaning per ati.com/install but don't know how(or if)
being a Gateway would effect this.
