Fresh installation of Windows XP integrated with SP2 fails with this
message:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If this is the first time.......

I have even replaced the CD with a new one from the supplier, but still the
same thing happens even on the new CD.

On the same computer I'm trying to install from the new CD, Windows XP
Professional and Windows XP Professional with SP1 installs and works fine.
But I'm trying to install Windows XP SP2 because of the lot of spyware, and
viruses which antivirus and antispyware programs fail to clean. I need
Windows XP SP2's improved firewall, and additional security features such as
blocking users from executing .exe files from locations which are not
trusted. The spywares and Viruses cannot be cleaned even with the latest
virus definitions of Norton Antivirus 2005.

Please help me with this problem.

I'm working in an environment which has a lot of PCs... and I really need a
solution to this. But right now, I want to shield infected PCs with the
latest service pack from Microsoft.

Shafiee.

for one, give people some time, our heads are not cpus and we do have lives. Now onto your problem. It sounds like you are having an irq conflict with drivers. you will probably have to install windows pro sp1, now, go to the update site and update everything. Let windows update decide what is needed. Or, order an sp2 disk. Also, if security is an issue, why not download the free version of ZOne alarm, which is a free and better firewall than xp anyway. Avast has a free anti virus, and so does AVG. You didn't say what type of pc, or how old, previous windows\ you have, so it makes it hard to identify the exact problem.

Basically you need the SP2 compatible hardware drivers or you are not
going to avoid that problem.
