When trying to update the drivers for my HP PSC 750
windows 2000 pro tells me that the digital signature not
found. Microsoft digital signatures affirms that the
software has been tested with windows and that the
software has not been altered since tested.
The software you are installing does not contain a
Microsoft Digital Signature therefore there is no
guarentee that it will work with windows. 1284.4
compatible printers. What are Digital Signatures and how
ofter are they updated? and why does win 2000 cancel the
installation of the drivers even after I tell it to
continue any way?

If it's a driver from HP that message probably doesn't matter.

The missing signature just means that the driver for some reason has not
been tested and sprinkled with holy water by Microsoft. It does not mean
that it is guaranteed not to work properly. Microsoft has only so much
holy water, and manufacturers have only so much time.
