Driver needed for a Umax astra 2000U Scanner

I have windows XP with an older scanner... Umax astra 2000U and can't find
any sites to download the driver for it . I have the CD for it, but it won't
install...says OS not compatable. Any suggestions?

You might be out of luck. Try these sites but you might be better off just
buying a new scanner or getting one off ebay or similar place.

I think that scanner can use the windows 2000 drivers

look for windows 2000 drivers or windowsNT drivers
they will probably work!

I see that Umax offers a driver/software package for the Astra 2000U, but
only on CD for $14.50 (in the US). See:

I don't own such a scanner, so I can't check that the downloadable version
will work, but you may find it worth a try.

I had to ditch my Umax when I upgraded to Win 2K because they had no drivers and
no intent to develop any. I bought a Microtek that serves me well, and I don't
think I'll buy another Umax.
