What is this about? Would someone from microsoft
please explain why this message is displayed on my, and
other people's, machines... It wouldn't be so much a
problem, but there is no apparent way to "start" the
driver... Please help.. I'm tired of being soundless on
each soundcard I put in this machine!

Thanks in advance..

Might help if you include what you are talking about.
What I'm talking about is in the subject field..
Properties for my Audio driver state that the "driver is
enabled but has not been started".. I have searched for
related items on the net, and a few others have had the
same problem.. To sum it up, how is one to "Start" a
driver, when there aren't any options to do so under any
of the settings..

I don't know if you have tried this, but go to the control panel and click
on the administrating button then >service. Look for the service you want to
start or restart in the list.
