Driver Healthcheck List?

Given the grief over Catalyst 3.8 and Detonator 52 is there anywhere on
t'internet that gives a "whats the safest drivers to use for my card".

e.g. Radeon 9700 Pro - Cat3.7 (few problems)
Cat3.8 (mega problems reported)

Given that the reported grief with the Cat 3.8 driver appears to be entirely
spurious (I can't say for the Detonator drivers) it would seem this is not
yet an appropriate topic for this ng.

I disagree - seems loads of people have problems with Cat3.8. See the "Call
of Duty" thread from yesterday.

The Det52 drivers are all over the shop. I had a GeForceFX for 3 weeks
(came free with a new PC), the driver bugs and shoddy performance made me go
out and buy a Radeon again!

Seems that there is no site out there yet!

Sorry, I wasn't referring to general problems with the Cat 3.8 drivers,
xrrr, when you talked about "safest drivers" I thought you were referring to
the apparently bogus monitor burnout problem. But I have to say, I'm having
no problems with them at all; in fact they seem excellent.
