Driver for ATAPI 40X CD ROM, Windows XP

My CD ROM is inoperative; Device Manager indicates that
the driver is missing. I have tried Windows Update but
there is no CD driver download listed. I have gone to
Microsoft.com and looked in Downloads but none are
available there either.

Any suggestions?
