I know this is stupid but anyone that can help me figure out how to transfer
files to drive C: from drive D: because it is full

Hi, Staci.

The easy answer probably won't help you much: Simply Move the files by
typing at a Command Prompt:
Move C:\FolderX\FileX D:\FolderX

Or, in Windows Explorer, Drag-n-drop the files (or whole folders) with your
mouse. You might want to right-click-drag, so that you will have the option
to either Copy or Move the files. Move deletes the old file after copying
it to the new location.

But this might not help, depending on the types of files and WHY you need to
move them. You didn't tell us anything about your computer, except that
Drive D: is full. If that is your System Partition or your Boot Volume,
moving the files might cause more problems than it fixes. If you are moving
data files (pictures, Word documents, etc.), you should be OK. But if they
are application executables, you might need to reinstall the program to the
new location. And if they are operating system files, you probably will not
be able to move them without reinstalling Vista.

If you need more details, please give us more details.
