Drive sleeping - but I didn't ask for that !

I have an IDE drive, non-system, that is going into "sleep" mode.
The drive was not ever setup to do that but it is definitely doing
it. The settings in power management do not indicate that it should.
There have been other drives on this system in the past that were
allowed to sleep (none now) but this drive/letter has never been
intentionally set up that way.

Is there some other place this feature could be enabled? Is there a
setting in the registry I can check (i.e. and shut off)?

Thanks,

if it's not configured to power down in windows, i would check any power
management settings in the bios

Thanks Seth.. but my BIOS would not even allow me to sleep one drive
and not the others - and only this one does the sleep routine. The
others stay active even thought they are used at the same frequency.
