I added a removable device (a mobile phone), via an USB connection. The
device is installed as drive F:, and I can see its contents typing "run/F:"
It appears also in System Information as "removable disk".
But it is not seen in My Computer. What can this be?
Actually, when I run/F:, a folder is opened: F:\mobile.
TIA

I would think that you would need the software installed first.
For example Motorola Phone tools.

I recently installed a motorola phone as well, an e815. You cannot
access the hard drive/memory of the phone from your computer without
certain software (Motorola phone tools, BitPim, PST, etc.) What model
is the phone and what brand of service are you using? If it is a
Verizon phone you may need to do some teaking to enable OBEX/file
transfer. This can be found at various sites, just search google.

You are right about the device being a Motorola phone. But I didn't make
myself clear (my bad English). I'll explain:
1) I installed the software and it works OK. That is not my problem.
2) What I want is tu see the SIM card of the phone being read by the
computer as a drive. This should be possible if in the USB options of the
phone, you program the USB connection as "SIM card" (the second options
being "phone").
With a Digital Camera, for instance, this is the way it works.
I've reached the conclusion that the culprit is the phone, not the computer.
Because the computer reads the disk, only it does not appear in My Computer.
I'd like very much to understand.
TIA,
Peter
